We all experienced, at least once in our life, that anxious feeling caused by the decision concerning the number of people (and who) we should invite at our party. It’s a tough nut to crack, isn’t it? Well, let’s try to shed some light on the topic. In primis, be sure to keep it real. What does it mean?
Do not wonder about inviting thousands of people when you can’t actually afford it. Set a per-person-budget and rely on it. Notice that, most of the time, it’s far better to have few people drinking champagne rather than having a crowd of off-brand-chips eaters.
The Second step is all about considering what logistics allows you to organize. In short, how many people your event venue can comfortably host. Keep in mind that your event’s success will strictly be related to this factor: partying like caged animals won’t let your guests be on cloud nine, so make sure to take into serious consideration this passage.
Step number three, we’re halfway through. You now MUST be very harsh and learn to SAY NO. You can’t invite people just because they’re friends of a friend, distant relatives or simply prominent figures. Avoid this never-ending chain and focus on who you truly want to share your time with. Just a little tip: put down a little list of essential, vital guests and work around it.

What cuts us from the last passage is a topic we’ve already tackled. Quality over quantity! Remember the “the happier the better” rule. Satisfied people mean good press, word of mouth (best advertising ever, for free!), new clients, new possibilities. So, again, focus on letting less guests unforgettably enjoy your event instead of having a bunch of disgruntled hosts.
Here we are. Last, but not least: take it easy! Never let stress overwhelm your decisions, take your time and enjoy the process!
These were our five (very) simple and basic tips to help you in your journey towards the planning of the coolest event out there!
